100 % wool

Sold in balls of 50 g.

50 g = 300 m.

Suitable for needle size 3mm - when knitted single stranded.

Spinni is a high quality wool yarn from Danish Isager and one of our favorites at Önling. We love the quality and the immense world of opportunities it gives to have more than 50 different colors, in a natural, beautiful color scale with colors that are easy to combine.

Spinni is a thin wool yarn, and a single thread yarn, which means that it should not be knitted single thread in the round on a circular needle, as the finished knitwear might then twist and turn. You can knit it single stranded back and forth on needle size 3 mm, see for instance our Adotte shawl.

We love combining Spinni with other types of Isager yarn. Our favorite combination is Spinni and Alpaca 1 which can be knitted at needle size 3,5 mm. We have used this combination for instance for Dicte sweater and Dione cardigan. Another great combination is Spinni and Silk Mohair, which we have used for Aud cardigan.

Spinni and Spinni Tweed

Spinni colors are available in two versions, Spinni and Spinni Tweed. Colors marked with “s” are the Spinni Tweed colors, meaning that they are dyed on grey wool. Colors without “s” are dyed on white wool.

Origin of the yarn:

Isager Spinni yarn is spun and dyed in Denmark. Isager is a respected brand among knitters in Denmark and worldwide, due to their high quality and luxurious yarn.

The company was founded by Åse Lund Jensen, who contributed greatly to the art of knitting with her yarns and knit designs. Today Isager is owned by Marianne Isager and her daughter Helga Isager, who continue to inspire knitters through their knitting books.

Isager today produce around different 20 types of yarn, all of which are of high quality and lovely to work with. See more Isager Yarn here.

Washing instructions

We recommend hand washing your Spinni yarn.
