Merilin from the Danish yarn manufacturer "Isager" is made of wool and linen, and the Merilin yarn is therefore perfect for knitting summer designs for the Danish and Nordic summer.

50 g = 208 m.
Suitable for needle size 3 to 3.5 mm - when knitted single stranded.
The lovely Merilin yarn is a made in combination of wool and linen, that is great for summer knitting. The linen gives the yarn a cool touch, while the wool makes it suitable for the unreliable Nordic summer weather. Furthermore, this combination of wool and linen gives a beautiful mixed color effect, as the linen does not absorb as much color as the wool.
Merilin can be knitted individually for a light summer design such as our Bolette sweater. Merilin is also suitable for knitting in combination with other Isager yarns, we have for instance used it with Alpaca 1 for the Delia, Benedicte and Abelone sweaters.
Origin of the yarn:
The Merilin yarn is manufactured by the Danish yarn brand Isager. Isager is a respected brand among knitters in Denmark and worldwide, due to their high quality and luxurious yarn.
The company was founded by Åse Lund Jensen, who contributed greatly to the art of knitting with her yarns and knit designs. Today Isager is owned by Marianne Isager and her daughter Helga Isager, who continue to inspire knitters with their knitting books and designs.
Isager today produce around different 20 types of yarn, all of which are of high quality and lovely to work with. See more Isager Yarn here.
We recommend hand washing your Isager Merlin yarn.
