Cellulose fibers from beech wood are the main ingredient in modal - and in most of our woven clothing. When a shirt is produced in modal rather than conventional cotton, much less water and pesticides is required in the production process. Once the shirt is worn out and discarded, it will compost naturally, as it is mostly a piece of nature. Modal is a strong, but less known material, and we are certain that it has a bright future ahead due to its many qualities:
It retains the color.
Great ability to absorb moisture.
It is a lovely, soft fabric with an exclusive feel.
Items made in modal are, so far, the Anastasia and Dea series, and the Amelia Bomber jacket.
